A series of Needham Skimmer Dragonflies images taken at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge near Cambridge Maryland. All images were taken with a Canon 7D with a 300mm f/4 lens & 1.4x Canon Teleconverter. The Featured Image is a 5 Image Panorama of the Female Needham Skimmer Dragonfly.
Far more skilled than I to get these dragons to cooperate with you – I usually look like someone trying to fend off bees when I try to get shots of them ha!
Nice work. I consider myself lucky to get a single shot of one in a held position much less 5 for a pano.

Thanks! I usually use 300mm or 400mm lenses with a 1.4x teleconverter to get close shots of them without actually being close! Works quite well!
