Another Bald Eagle flyby taken from a different visit at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Maryland. These were taken from the Tubman Road Trail which is a small walking trail down the road from the main Refuge & Wildlife Drive.

Yes! Plus it had an injured beak. I thought the bird might be a Red-winged Blackbird. There are a lot of them in the refuge and flocks of them scatter when an Eagle comes close!
Such an intense gaze. Great captures, Reed!
Thanks Eliza! They are fun to photograph!
Very determined look on that face! I wonder what bird became his prey?

Interesting… I actually thought that the Eagle’s beak looked somewhat unusual, but I didn’t look closely enough.
What a spectacular capture!!
Thanks Isabel! They are fun to photograph! Plus one of my favorite birds to photograph!
Wildlife as pure as it can be. Perfect capture, Reed!
Thanks so much Greta! They are fun to photograph!
