While cleaning up some of my backup Hard Drives I found these images from a previous photo trip to the Brigantine Division of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Oceanville NJ. I never worked on some these before, so I thought I would use them here. These were soon after I got a Canon R and a Tamron 150-600mm lens. I was surprised that this combination worked pretty well on flying Black Skimmers.
Very nice pictures of a very interesting and special bird. Your zoom is really sharp and fast it seems.
Thanks Hans! I was surprised how sharp the combination of the Canon R & the Tamron 150-600mm zoom was! Plus the autofocus was great also keeping up with the flying bird @600mm.
👍
I always get jealous when I see skimming shots. One day I’ll get one. Great work! William
Thanks so much William! At Brigantine Division of the Edwin B. Forsythe NWR they like flying & feeding in some of the channels. This gives you a better chance of getting shots of them somewhat closer up!
Interesting feeding style, well-captured, Reed!
Thanks Eliza! They are fun to watch & photograph!😊
Very nice, Reed! One can see how they got that name.
Thanks Belinda! They are fun to watch working an area for food.
Awesome action series, Reed!
Thanks Donna! One of my favorite birds to photograph!
