When I get to a location early in the morning waiting for the sun to rise, I look for “early birds” flying before the sun rises. I try to be ready for birds flying out in the colorful sunrise. Sometimes huge flocks fly out starting their day. But before that there are usually a few hawks or other birds getting an earlier start. The light that early, before sunrise, is cooler, giving more of a “cooler” temperature look, which I leave for the effect I want.
