I was looking for photo subjects at my new home when I spotted this strange bug. I have no idea what it is, but it was an interesting photo subject. It is about an inch long and was moving along the stalk and leaves on this plant. If I got closer it would go to the back of the plant. When I moved back a little it came back out. I was using my m43 Panasonic camera body with an old manual Canon FD manual focus 200mm f/4 macro, so some of these are at 2X magnification w/200mm macro.
Wonderful shots. I think it’s a leafhopper or a treehopper. Go to bugguide.net look it up, and/or send them a copy and they will tell you what it is.
Thanks Victor! I looked there also, but I will send them a file to see what they say. I also enjoy your blog!
Than you, hope you get a quick response.
