Osprey Take-Off

I saw this Osprey landing in a treetop across a small pond (Gull Pond) at the Edwin B. Forsythe National wildlife Refuge, Brigantine division in Oceanville NJ. I was watching, seeing what would happen. Hoping it would take off and fly towards me. All of a sudden it raised it’s wings and took off going away from me to the right. It is interesting to see the wing positions.

Quite a distance away, using a Canon 7D, with a 400mm f/4 DO lens and a Series III 1.4X teleconverter (896mm full frame equivalent) Heavily cropped.
